Going into private practice can be scary often we feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, or we start and then struggle to build the practice that suits us. In the club you’ll have access to the comprehensive online course that lays out your road map to success, taking you through all the steps of building a private practice from scratch and how to scale this into the business of your dreams.

We all have certain clients that we really enjoy working with, I know I know we aren’t supposed to have favourites but we’re only human after all, and we actually work better with clients when we are aligned and enjoy the process. Getting your ducks in a row around the legalities of running your own business can be daunting, what with the fear of the annual tax return and the constant dread of ending up in the back pages of the BACP magazine, don’t worry we’ve got you covered, everything from sample contracts to a handy list of everything you need to know to ensure your practice remains ethical and legal.
Overcoming limited beliefs
In my experience the biggest thing that stops good therapists from achieving success in their business is themselves, imposter syndrome, not feeling good enough, a fear of failure and of success, these can paralyse us, stop us from putting ourselves out there and charging what we’re worth. This is why I include specialist sessions to work on those pesky limiting beliefs, so you can move forward purposefully and with confidence.
Ongoing guidance
An online course is great but your practice is specific to you and sometimes you need a bit of extra guidance which is why there are bi-weekly calls on different topics relating to building and scaling your practice, where you can pick my brains (don’t worry if you miss a call you can watch them on replay) in between calls there is the facebook group for any immediate burning questions or support you may need from me or other club members.
Extensive CPD courses
CPD is an important part of our professional and personal development not to mention necessary to keep our registration but the costs can rack up especially if your practice is not where you’d like it to be, that’s why I offer club members 30% off of the price of CPD courses run by myself or affiliates and if you are in the club for 6 months you unlock a lifetime 15% off all CPD.
Supportive community
Working in private practice can feel lonely, supervision is a lifeline but that is often only once a month, the private practice club offers a sense of belonging and community, where you can connect with other likeminded therapists in a warm and supportive environment, ask any questions (without the fear or ridicule which is often the case in some of those awful counselling facebook groups), meet for coffee, collaborate and network to your hearts content.
Business skills
Therapy trainings turn out many fantastic therapists but what they don’t do is show them how to succeed in practice. We have to complete many hours of unpaid practice which often installs a discomfort around accepting money and being seen to ‘profit off of others misery’. In order to help ourselves and clients we need to shift this mindset and approach our practice as a business, changing this was a huge leap forward for me and it will be for you too. How you present your private practice visually is vital. Your visual brand is not just a logo... it's your website, your social media graphics, your stationery...in fact it's everything that a potential client sees about your business.
